How it works
Your controller contacts the official LOKWOD release server over HTTPS.
Version, hardware, file size, image format, and SHA-256 signature are checked.
The new image is written to a separate update partition while the current version remains safe.
If the new firmware cannot start correctly, the controller automatically rolls back.
First-time setup
The secure updater changes the controller's flash partition layout. Install that foundation once by USB; every compatible release after it can be installed directly from the controller over Wi-Fi.
Stable releases are tested for everyday use. Beta releases are for active development hardware and may change more frequently.
Validated releases intended for installed customer equipment.
Development releases for prototype and beta-test hardware.
Pro may add optional analytics or services, but the software required to keep LOKWOD hardware safe and dependable is part of ownership.
